On the weekends, I’m torn — I love big decadent breakfasts. You know, the kind with two different types of eggs, a side of bacon, and something sweet like waffles, pancakes, or french toast as “breakfast dessert”. The only problem is that on the weekends, I also like to sleep in as late as possible. And unfortunately, big decadent weekend breakfasts usually involves getting up early to prep and cook all those things.
I’m always looking for a compromise between the two, which is why I love this Dutch Baby pancake recipe so much. With a blender, the batter comes together in 20 seconds – less if you’ve got a workhorse like Wolf Gourmet’s incredibly awesome and powerful one. You literally throw all the ingredients in the blender, whirl it all up, pour it into a cast iron pan to bake for 15 minutes, and BOOM! A fancy, decadent breakfast with the smallest amount of work possible. I dig it.
You can find the recipe for this lemon Dutch Baby pancake with mascarpone and honeycomb on Wolf Gourmet’s Food Notes blog, as well as read about how the blender makes the pancake batter POOF up without any special kind of leavener.
And be sure to check out my Instagram account, where I’m doing a giveaway for one of Wolf’s awesome blenders as part of my week of #humhiholiday giveaways! Follow Hummingbird High AND Wolf Gourmet on Instagram, and make sure to tag a friend on my photo to qualify to win!
Thank you to Wolf Gourmet for sponsoring this post by providing the compensation to make it happen, as well as blenders for me and one of my readers. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and every single Wolf Gourmet appliance I’ve ever tried has been a godsend. This blender is one of the classiest and most powerful countertop appliances I’ve owned. For real. And finally, thank YOU for supporting Hummingbird High and my sponsors!
